Airline Jeopardy

Answer: What is "Two."
Question: How many days does it take an airline employee to get to Paris, France?

Felt like the old days when I had no seniority whatsoever. The original plan for Mum, Jerry and me was DEN-SFO (overnight) and then SFO-FRA on the 747 with the new First and Business class seats. Mum would stay in Frankfurt and continue on to Coburg to Uncle Dave's while Jerry and I would get on a Lufthansa flight to Paris. Simple enough, right?
The revised plan turned out to be Denver-Boston on Sunday (overnight), Boston-Washington at 0600 (need I say, OUCH!) on Monday where we spent the day in the airport and stood by for the three flights to FRA and didn't get close. So we overnighted at a lovely Sheraton near the airport and met a cool guy in the bar - shoulda got his number! - then spent the day at the lovely Reston Town Center mall.

We shuttled to the airport at 3 p.m. and made the 5:08 p.m. to Frankfurt, in First Class, no less! Lovely flight, of course, and once in Frankfurt, Mum went off to get the rental car and drive to Uncle Dave's while Jerry and I moseyed over to Lufthansa, checked in and got on the flight to Paris. It's only a 45-minute flight and we got a sandwich, a candy bar and a drink! In the States you'd be lucky to get half-a-can of soda and some pretzels.

So enough of the travel drama. We arrived Charles de Gaulle airport about 1 p.m., got a cab and were on our way to our lovely hotel. What a fabulous city and what a wonderful 3 days we had. I'm goin' back! Enjoy the pictures!
